Radon mitigation systems generally are designed to pull the soil gases
from beneath a home and vent them above the home.  Sub slab
depressurization systems are used for concrete slab on grade
construction and sub membrane depressurization systems are used for
most crawlspace construction.   While the system designs are fairly
simple, the details in design, workmanship, materials, and equipment
used can make a big difference in the effectiveness and durability of the
mitigation system.

Enright Construction guarantees most radon mitigation systems to reduce
radon levels to below 4 picocuries per liter of air, though many homes will
be reduced to below 2 pCi/L.  We also warranty all systems for a period
of five years, though we build the systems to last much longer.  We take
extra steps to build mitigation systems to stand up to the heavy snows
and extreme cold and heat that we experience in this area.

In the State of California, radon mitigators are required to be licensed
contractors certified by the Department of Public Health for radon
mitigation.  Certified mitigators are required to follow EPA protocols for
building investigation, system design, location and construction.  Systems
that do not follow EPA protocols may lead to increased radon levels in a
home.

Radon mitigation systems cost from $1500 and range up to $6000 for
custom installations through the interior of an existing home.  Call us for a
free estimate for mitigating your radon problem.  The monthly operating
expense for the fan could be as low as $3.50 up to $14.00.
